It's likely that South Bend records a new warmest daily low temperature this morning as temperatures bottom out in the mid to upper 70s. Sunshine is still abundant today for what will likely be the hottest day of the year so far in the mid to upper 90s. Temperatures, due to high humidity, will feel like the triple digits this afternoon and evening. The extreme heat warning for our entire forecast area lasts until tomorrow night. Pop-up showers and storms are possible today, but are more likely tomorrow and the rest of this week due to the position of high pressure to our south. We stay in the 90s through Thursday with daily moderate (30-50%) chances for rain the rest of this week.
Today: Sunny. High 96.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 75.
Tuesday: Isolated thunderstorms. High 92.
Wednesday: Scattered thunderstorms. High 90.
